STUDY AND WORK PROGRAMMES
There are thousands of jobs and paid work experience opportunities for students and graduates in the United Kingdom. As an international student you can work for up to 20 hours a week while studying and unlimited hours during school holidays.
However, we go one step further by helping you gain employment at least one year after graduation through various – entry schemes available to international students, often unknown to students but providing full-time & fully paid employment opportunities.
You are allowed to work while studying if you study at a university or college that is listed on both the official UKVI Sponsor list and the list of ‘recognised bodies’.
International students who study a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree course at a recognised university are allowed to work part time during term for up to 20 hours a week and full-time during the holidays.

Most frequent questions and answers
Tier 4 students are allowed to work 20 hrs per week during term time. UKVI has defined a “week” as “a seven day period starting on a Monday and ending on a Sunday”
Tier 4 students are allowed to work full-time / unlimited hours during school break / holidays.
Tier 4 students will be allowed to work full-time during term time if on a work placement that is an integral and assessed part of the course – any work placement must not be longer than 50% of the total course length.
If you hold a Tier 4 visa for a part time course you will not have the right to undertake any work, paid or unpaid, in the UK.
Tier 4 students can only work on a temporary basis – they cannot be employed on a permanent contract. They cannot be self-employed or set up a business, or employed as a professional sportsperson or as an entertainer.
Once your course has officially finished, you will be classed as on ‘vacation’ and can work for up to 4 months or until your Tier 4 visa expires (whichever is sooner). If you wish to take a permanent full-time job in the UK after your course, you will need to change your visa status usually to Tier 2, we can help you with this.
